そんな京都の中心を流れる鴨川は川床を始め市民生活には欠かせない存在です🌿
 
その鴨川では毎年夏に『鴨川納涼』が開催されていることをご存じでしょうか？
 
河川の環境保全を始め、地球温暖化の啓発
京都府内の市政の取り組みの紹介などのブースが並びます。
 
なかでも人気なのは地元特産品等の展示即売✨
 
なんと京都府内だけではなく、全国の県人会が特設ブースを出されているので、
もしかすると懐かしい出会いもあるかもしれません😆🙌

・８月３日(土)17時～21時
・８月４日(日)17時～20時
 
開催場所は三条大橋から四条大橋間

As we enter August, Kyoto City is experiencing consecutive days of extreme heat🔥

 
 
Kyoto City is well-known in Japan for being a basin.
 
The city is surrounded by mountains, making the summers extremely hot 🌞 and the winters extremely cold ⛄!
The Kamo River, which flows through the center of Kyoto, is an indispensable part of the citizens’ lives, including the riverbeds. 🌿
 
Did you know that the “Kamo River Summer Cool Festival” is held there every summer?
 
There are booths for environmental conservation of the river, raising awareness about global warming, and introducing the initiatives of Kyoto Prefecture’s municipal administration.
 
Among them, the most popular are the exhibitions and sales of local specialty products. ✨
 
Amazingly, not only from within Kyoto Prefecture, but also from various prefectural associations across the country, special booths are set up, so you might even encounter some nostalgic reunions. 😆🙌
 
 
The event schedule is:

Saturday, August 3rd, from 5 PM to 9 PM
Sunday, August 4th, from 5 PM to 8 PM
 
The event location is between Sanjo Bridge and Shijo Bridge.
 
Please note that the end time differs only on Sunday the 4th. 😊
