祇園祭の関連行事に伴い、京都市内では交通規制が行われます。

時間帯によっては一部の道路が通行止めとなり、その他の道路も渋滞が予想されますので、

お時間には十分余裕をもってご移動ください。

当日は規制の少ない交通機関をご利用くださいますようお願い致します。

7月10日(水)は、『神輿洗(みこしあらい)』と呼ばれる神事がとり行われます。
 
神輿洗とは、翌週の7月17日(水)に行われる、神幸祭(しんこうさい)と、
7月24日(水)に行われる還幸祭(かんこうさい)で使われる御神輿を、
鴨川の水で洗い、お清めする儀式です。
 
御神輿は八坂神社を18時に出発し、四条大橋たもとにて洗い清められ、
20時頃に再び八坂神社へ向けて出発する予定との事⛩️🌿
 
あわせて、御神輿を出迎えるために『お迎え提灯』と呼ばれる行列が河原町を練り歩きます。
 
こちらのお迎え提灯は、八坂神社を16時30分
御神輿に先行して出発し、四条河原町を北上後　京都市役所にて舞踊の奉納を予定されています。
 
HOTEL ARU KYOTO から京都市役所までは通常、歩いて8分程の距離ですが、
明日は河原町通が車両通行止めとなり、沿道にも多くの人出が予想されます。
 
見学を予定されておられる方はもちろん、お出かけの際は十分時間に余裕をもってご移動ください。

Due to events related to the Gion Festival, traffic restrictions will be implemented throughout Kyoto city.
 

Certain roads will be closed to traffic at specific times, and other roads are expected to experience congestion. Please allow plenty of time for your travels.

On the day of the event, we kindly ask that you use transportation methods with minimal restrictions.

Wednesday, July 10th features a ceremony known as “Mikoshi-arai,” which involves purifying the portable shrines (Mikoshi) used in the upcoming “Shinko-sai” on July 17th and “Kanko-sai” on July 24th by washing them in the waters of the Kamogawa River.
 
The Mikoshi will depart from Yasaka Shrine at 6:00 PM, undergo purification near Shijo-Ohashi, and is scheduled to depart again towards Yasaka Shrine around 8:00 PM ⛩️🌿
 
Additionally, a procession called “Omukae Chochin,” welcoming the Mikoshi, will parade through Kawaramachi.
 
The Omukae Chochin will depart from Yasaka Shrine at 4:30 PM, preceding the Mikoshi, heading north on Shijo-Kawaramachi, and will offer dances at Kyoto City Hall.
 
Normally, it takes about an 8-minute walk from HOTEL ARU KYOTO to Kyoto City Hall. However, tomorrow Kawaramachi Street will be closed to vehicles, and a large number of people are expected along the route.
 
Whether you plan to watch the festivities or go out, please ensure you allow plenty of extra time for your travels.
