「葵祭」に伴い、京都市内では交通規制が行われます。

時間帯によっては一部の道路が通行止めとなり、その他の道路も渋滞が予想されますので、

お時間には十分余裕をもってご移動ください。

当日は規制の少ない交通機関をご利用くださいますようお願い致します。

葵祭は京都３大祭りのひとつで、約1500年前から賀茂御祖神社（下鴨神社）と賀茂別雷神社（上賀茂神社）で行われてきました。
５月初旬から関連行事が執り行われ、今週１５日(水)には、「路頭の儀」と呼ばれる、
平安装束に身を包んだ人々の行列を見ることができます。
 
スタート地点は御所
御所を出発し、午前中に賀茂御祖神社（下鴨神社）まで。
休憩をはさみ、午後には賀茂別雷神社（上賀茂神社）まで続きます。

沿道から見る行列の花形といえば『斎王代』です。
ひと際目を引く着物は圧巻です。

Aoi Matsuri is one of the three major festivals in Kyoto, and has been held for about 1,500 years at Kamomioyajinja Shrine (Shimogamo Shrine) and Kamowakeikaduchi-jinja Shrine (Kamigamo Shrine).
Related events have been held since early May, and this week, on Wednesday, May 15, the “Rotounogi,” as it is called,
This week, on Wednesday, May 15, a procession of people dressed in Heian costume will be held.
 
Starting point is the Gosho
Starting from the Gosho, the tour continues to Kamomioyajinja Shrine (Shimogamo Shrine) in the morning.
After a break, the tour continues toKamowakeikaduchi-jinja Shrine (Kamigamo Shrine) in the afternoon.
 
The most famous part of the procession, as seen from the roadside, is the “Saioh-dai” (Saioh’s Generation).
Their eye-catching kimonos are a sight to behold.
