京都の初夏の知らせといえば『川床』です🤗🌿
 
川床とは、盆地で蒸し暑い京都の夏を少しでも心地よく過ごすために、川沿いの飲食店が『川の上』に設けたもので、
臨時のテラス席、のようなイメージですね🎐
 
歴史は古く、江戸時代から続いている京都が誇る文化の１つです。
 
先日から鴨川沿いでは川床の建設が解禁され、
夏が近づいてきたなあ～と感じます🌞🌻
 
 
実はこの川床、京都市内を流れる鴨川沿いと、市内北部の貴船周辺が有名ですが、
地域で呼び方が変わることはご存じでしょうか‼️
 
 
実は、鴨川の納涼床は「床（ゆか）」
貴船の納涼床は「川床（かわどこ）」と呼ばれます。
 
鴨川の床は実際には禊川(みそそぎがわ)という鴨川の分流にせり出しており、
床を出しても良い期間が定められています。
 
2024年は5月1日(水)～9月の末まで！
準備が整った店舗から順次営業を開始されます✨✨

The news of early summer in Kyoto is “Kawadoko” 🤗🌿.
Kawadoko are “riverbeds” that restaurants along the river have set up “on the river” in order to make the hot and humid summer in Kyoto a little more comfortable,
It is like a temporary terrace.
 
It has a long history and is one of Kyoto’s proudest cultural traditions that has continued since the Edo period.
 

 
The construction of kawadoko (riverbeds) along the Kamo River has been opened the other day,
I can feel the summer is approaching 🌞🌻.
2024 from today, May 1 to the end of September!
Stores that are ready will begin operating in order ✨✨.
 
Please come and feel the wind of Kyoto for about 5 months until the end of September 🌿.
