高瀬川の桜は本日満開です🌸

 

 

満開の桜を背景に、高瀬川　桜祭りが開催中です✨

 

今日はイベントに先駆け、HOTEL ARU KYOTO が面している龍馬通りを始め、

三条通、木屋町通、寺町、新京極と、京都の三条エリアを御神輿が練り歩きました😎🙌

 

 

開催期間は　2024年4月6日(土)・7日(日) の2日間！

 

 

高瀬川桜まつりは今回で38回目

元・立誠小学校を中心に開催され、なんといっても目玉イベントは

『高瀬舟運行』！！

 

高瀬川をご存じの方は、あの水深で舟…？と思われるかもしれません。

 

 

ですが、高瀬川は元々、京都の中心部と伏見を繋ぐために人工的に作られた

「運河」の歴史があるいうことをご存じでしょうか🛶🌾

 

現在の水深は浅く、船の運航も人力ですが、

川の中心から見上げる桜並木は別格です😌🌸

 

 

 

しかも、この高瀬舟運行、なんと≪≪ 無料 ≫≫ で乗せていただけるんです‼️‼️‼️

 

 

 

普段は運航されていない、イベント期間のみ体験できる

超！超！！超！！！激レアイベント！！！

 

 

運航時間は10時～17時(小雨決行)

乗船口は、南車屋橋たもと(HOTEL ARU KYOTOから南へ徒歩５分)

The cherry blossoms along the Takase River are in full bloom today 🌸

 

 

Against the backdrop of full-bloom cherry blossoms, the Takase River Sakura Festival is currently underway ✨

 

 

Today, preceding the event, mikoshi (a portable shrine) paraded through Kyoto’s Sanjo area, including Sanjo Street, Kiyamachi Street, Teramachi, Shinkyogoku and Ryoma Street where HOTEL ARU KYOTO is located😎🙌

 

 

The festival will be held for two days, April 6th (Saturday) and 7th (Sunday), 2024!

 

 

This marks the 38th Takase River Sakura Festival, centered around the former Ritsusei Elementary School. The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the “Takase Boat Ride”!!

 

 

For those familiar with the Takase River, you might wonder… boats in that shallow water…?

 

 

But did you know that the Takase River originally had a history as an “artificial canal” connecting the center of Kyoto with Fushimi? 🛶🌾

 

 

While the current depth is shallow and boats are manually operated, the cherry blossom-lined river from the center is exceptional 😌🌸

 

 

Moreover, this Takase Boat Ride is completely free to board‼️‼️‼️

 

 

This is an extremely rare event and you can only experience during the festival period‼️‼️

 

 

The event time is from 10:00 to 17:00 (operation continues in light rain)

 

 

Boarding is available at the base of Minamisharikyobashi (a 5-minute walk south from HOTEL ARU KYOTO)
