昨日の夜まで街をキラキラ飾ってくれていたイルミネーションが、

一夜明け　今朝にはもう正月飾りに変わっておりました。

時計の進み方は変わらないはずですが、

12月の最終週は毎年何かに追われているような感覚になるのは不思議です・・・

HOTEL ARU KYOTO is located in Sanjo Kiyamachi.
It is within walking distance of the Higashiyama area where Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple are located, as well as Heian Shrine.

In Japan, people ring a bell called the “Yoya no Kane” (bell tolling bell), which spans from the night of December 31st to January 1st.

In Buddhism, it is a tradition to “extinguish one of the 108 worldly desires with each ringing of the bell, and spend a happy year in the coming year.

There are temples that allow the general public to strike the temple bell on New Year’s Eve.

For this purpose, some railroads will operate all day from December 31 to January 1.
